27 Firefox Addons For Power Blogging
These plug-ins are for the blogger who knows exactly what he or she needs to get the job done quick and efficiently. Helping to automate certain tasks is a must when deadlines are looming and with these Firefox add ons you will do just that. This list also serves as a great way for casual bloggers to find new techniques that may turn one into a power blogger.
A common misconception for site users is that the author of any random article basically just records his or her thoughts on a topic and publishes it to the site. To some that’s all there is but if you want traffic and maybe eventually become an authority in a particular area then the steps can pile up. The actual fact is blogging requires a lot of steps in order to be successful and some of these include: choosing a niche, planning for an article, researching the topic, subscribing to RSS feeds, keyword planning, SEO management, image editing, writing, marketing of articles, and responding to the various comments. Yeah, it can be a lot of work so let’s take a look at some add ons that can ease the stress load a little.

I use Firebug, Measurelt and Twitterfox. They help too much!
Firebug, Ad block Plus and Download status bar are good ones.
what about APTURE? it's pretty good for linking and embedding content.
Great list :)
What about “Web Developer 1.1.8 “?
PJ :) ;)
Good one
Thx, very useful list.
I used to be a fan of the Customize Google addon, but sadly, it is not compatible with all the new Firefox version (3.5 and up). The addon doesn't seem to be updated anymore (last time was a year ago).
great addons collection :)
i have found 2 addons that i never seen, tnx
What does this have to do with blogging?
Only like three of these are related to blogging…?
@gus81 I'm not familiar with apture but will definitely check it out.
@Phat-Jay I actually use Web Developer and should have added that to this list.
@ brantchoate and @Austin Gulati The reason I used the term “Power Blogging” is because most of these plug-ins would be used for those designing the blogs theme, promoting, marketing, tracking, and automating some of the common tasks that most casual bloggers would not need.
Congratulations for the new site.
Nice design.
Good luck in this new project
Great List. Some aren't compatible with Mac OS Firefox though. Be sure to check.
These are some great extensions. I already use quite a few. I have just downloaded the KenG to check it out. Thanks for illuminating some I was unfamiliar with.
cool thx
firebug and x-mark are a must !!
bah! none of these are specific to blogging at all!
I mean, I agree with having firebug there, for example, however, adblock?! download status bar?! they might be awesome, but they're not exactly “blogging power tools”
How about scribefire or zemanta?
Firebug has to be the most useful of this list. Generally I think it's the most powerful add-on for Firefox.
Didn't know about some of these, thanks for the list.
What add-on do you personally use most?
I would never use the Gmail addon since you can never know where this sensitive data (User/Pass) is going.
useful list, we have to try each
Nice post. lot of addons i did'nt know about.
you forgot Scrapbook

Exactly, that's what power blogging is all about.
