When viewing a website there are two things I look for. I want a page that loads fast and is straight to the point but I want it to look good too. Is it possible to have a Flash site that can do both of these things? The examples below come pretty close but I’ll leave that up to you to decide. Love it or hate it, Flash is gonna be around for a while so let’s see some examples of Flash done right.

Vitalik is another Deviant artist from the Ukraine who has posted very little about himself online and lets his paintings do the talking for him. His choice of bold and vibrant colors is what really draws me to his work and falls right in line with my artistic interests. Hope you guys enjoy as much as I do!

Jang is from South Korea and another great example of the talent that resides at Deviant Art. He uses Painter & Photoshop as his tools of choice and looks like he is very strong in the sketching department. His style is all about fantasy and we absolutely love it.

I gotta be honest, just the other day I was questioning the validity of business cards in this digital age. Do they still serve a purpose and get the job done? I can pass or obtain an email address and store in my cell phone almost as easy as a card and then follow up with a detailed email later. I started looking around at some really creative cards and realized that the impact a great design could have on the person being given the card probably can’t be replaced by just exchanging emails. I think well designed cards (especially in the design industry) still has it’s place but I also don’t think it hurts to grab an email address at the same time. Below are some of the designs I found that made me realize that they still have a use in this digital world.

Besides his beautiful artwork I have been able to find very little about Jae-Cheol Park. Most of the sites he appears on are in a foreign language and if I had to guess would say Japanese? One of the great things about art is that it transcends so many of these barriers and allows us to enjoy it even if we don’t know a lot about the artist or where they come from. I really love his work and if anybody reading has anymore info please share and I will update the post.
