Rudolf Ritter von Alt, who was famously known as Von Alt was an Austrian Landscape and Architecture Painter. He was born on 28 August 1812 and died on 12 March 1905 Von Alt was born as Rudolf Alt. He gained nobility in 1882 and bore a title of Ritter knight). Today we present some magnificent artwork from this fabulous artist.

Alt used watercolors in a mitigable way to express certain oddities in nature. He was also a master of architectural paintings. He worked in Vienna, Rome, Naples, Lakes of Lombardy, then Galicia, Bavaria etc which added to his experience and expertise. He was son of a famous lithographer and his brother was also a painter.
